I work primarily on a consulting project basis. Come to me with your team’s challenge and I’ll leverage my expertise to frame the problem, develop a human-centered approach, and lead the way forward in a strategic partnership.
I’m also open to discussing other engagement models including: advisory work, fractional leadership, or as a team or discipline lead in subcontracting partnerships. Regardless of the engagement model, my approach to the proposal process and the work that follows is thoughtful and collaborative.

I believe it’s essential to understand context and clearly define the problem to be solved so teams are aligned and informed—and this applies to my approach for proposals, too.
Through collaborative conversation I’ll make sure I understand your team’s needs, learn which approaches and activities resonate and why, and ensure we identify important dependencies, risks, and success factors so we land on an informed approach tailored to your needs.
Proposal process
Discovery call
Discuss the challenge, the team, budget, and timing to develop a clear understanding of needs and inform a tailored approach.
Approach worksession
Review and discuss a draft approach to arrive at a plan everyone is comfortable with.
Approach refinement call
Review a refined proposal sent by email and follow up with a call to discuss final revisions.
Proposal acceptance
Accept refined plan, review and sign contracts, and move forward with a solid understanding of our goals and major activities.

Through my 20+ years in design spanning individual contributor and leadership roles I’ve developed the instinct to confidently define a path forward, and the depth of expertise and love of craft to bring intention, thoughtfulness, and precision to the work. The result is a strategic approach with purposeful steps forward and time to go deep when it matters.

Outputs and deliverables will be frequent and at varying levels of fidelity to support a range of conversations—from asynchronous communication and quick status checks to detailed research downloads—and designed to share actionable insights quickly while presenting supporting information in more detail.
